"Slack Integration Was a Fun Little Weekly Disaster"
I really wanted this to work, but the Slack sync kept breaking pretty much every week. Nothing like starting your Monday by reconnecting the same integration again because apparently consistency is too much to ask
"Solid backup option that gave me peace of mind"
The backups have been working well for me, and when I actually needed to recover something, the process was straightforward. It did take me a little while to find all the settings at first, but once I got used to it, everything felt reliable. Overall, I feel a lot better knowing my stuff is backed up and easy to get back if something goes wrong.

"A Bit Confusing at First"
I thought it would be simple to use, but umm, I kept getting lost in all the menus. Maybe it gets easier once you spend more time with it, but my first experience was kind of annoying
"Privacy Settings Felt Like a Mystery Box"
The app itself works fine enough, but the privacy and security side made me a little nervous. I kept digging around like I was uncovering some hidden secret just to find basic settings, and it still wasn’t really clear what data they keep or how to delete it. I also expected obvious stuff like 2FA and better permission controls, but those weren’t easy to spot. For casual use, it’s probably okay, but if I was dealing with anything even slightly sensitive, I’d definitely hesitate.

"Desktop sync works, but support never followed up"
I mostly use Playbook for desktop sync, and for the most part it does what I need. Most days it works fine, but every so often files take forever to show up or I end up having to restart the app to get things moving again. It’s not a total deal breaker, but it gets annoying when I’m in the middle of working on something. I also reached out about it once and never got any follow-up, which made the whole thing feel a bit more frustrating.

"Previews still need work"
The media previews load fine most of the time, but they can be blurry or take a while to show up. It’s not unusable, but it’s a bit frustrating when they keep saying improvements are coming without really explaining what that means or when it’ll actually get better

"The app is decent overall, but the notifications..."
The app is decent overall, but the notifications can be annoying. They feel kind of random and sometimes there’s just too many of them. Also, the activity tracking doesn’t always line up with what I actually did, so it makes it hard to fully trust it. It’s not a bad app, just needs some fixes tbh.

"Makes my files "easy to see""
I like the visual folders because they make everything a lot easier to find at a glance. It can be a bit slow sometimes, but overall it does the job and helps keep my files more "organized."

"Opens everything I send its way"
I've been using Playbook for a bit now, it's been great. I can toss in PSDs, PNGs, PDFs, videos, and even those random client export files that usually cause problems, and it just opens them. No converting things first, which is a huge time saver. Uploads are easy, previews load nicely, and overall it’s been a really smooth experience. Happy I found it.

"I tried using it for sharing files, and…"
I tried using it for sharing files, and at first I thought the upload issues were just a one-time thing, actually, no, they happened enough that it got annoying. Links also broke more often than I expected, so sharing stuff wasn’t as smooth as I hoped.

"Not great on my phone"
Tried using it on mobile. Keeps freezing. Over and over. Frustrating honestly. Not worth it for me

"Version history is such a mess!!!"
Trying to restore older versions was way more confusing than it should’ve been... Every time I thought I had it figured out, something didn’t work right!! Super frustrating, and not at all user-friendly???

"Not the Easiest to Get Around"
I had a hard time figuring my way around it. It’s not super intuitive, and I kept having to backtrack to find what I needed

"Decent tool, but hard to justify the monthly cost"
I’ve been using Playbook for a bit, and overall it works fine enough for what it is. I don’t really have any major complaints about the basic functionality, and a few of the features are genuinely helpful when I need them. That said, the price just feels a little too high for the amount I actually end up using it. Every month when the billing comes around, I kind of find myself wondering if I’m really getting enough value out of it to make it worth keeping. I can definitely see how a larger team or a business using it heavily every day might get more out of it, but for my own needs, it feels like more tool than I realistically need.

"Lots of Space, Just a Bit Slow Sometimes"
I’ve had plenty of room to store what I need, which has been really useful and saves me from constantly worrying about running out of space. The only downside is that uploads can lag once in a while, but overall it still does the job well for everyday use.

"Definitely not my pick for client presentations"
I tried using Playbook to share work with a client, and I can say with absolute certainty it made the whole thing more annoying than it needed to be. The presentation view just felt clunky, and instead of smoothly walking through the work, I kept having to stop and explain where everything was.
The links were slow to load on my client’s end too, which instantly made it feel less professional. a basic deck would have been about a thousand times easier and more polished. Definitely not worth it for me

"Feel stupid for trusting Playbook with my files"
I really wanted to like Playbook, but it’s just been too unreliable for everyday use. Pages randomly won’t load, uploads get stuck for no clear reason, and sometimes I’m sitting there refreshing over and over just to open my own files. I feel kind of stupid for trusting it to be something I could actually depend on. Maybe other people have better luck with it, but for me it’s been more frustrating than helpful.

"I reached out to support expecting at least..."
I reached out to support expecting at least a little help, but the whole experience was frustrating. Responses were slow, and when they finally got back to me, it felt like they just kept pointing to some policy instead of actually trying to solve the issue. I get that rules exist, but using them as an excuse while offering no real help just made it worse

"Slow uploads were a dealbreaker"
I really wanted to like this app, but the upload speed is way too slow for me. Even when I’m on solid Wi-Fi, downloading files still takes longer than it should. The app technically works, but sitting around waiting all the time gets old fast. At one point I was just thinking, what a joke. It’s not the worst thing ever, but it’s definitely not great

"Setup was a rough start"
I had a hard time even getting started. The setup felt more confusing than it needed to be, and the onboarding didn’t really clear things up for me. If you’re new to it, I’d suggest checking community tips or asking around before diving in, because the built-in guidance didn’t help much in my experience.
